PRIME2011 TOUR SCHEDULE DETAIL

Option I: Snorkel Sail with Trilogy Excursions:
10:30 am Check-in on Ka`anapali Beach fronting Whalers Village and adjacent to Westin Maui
10:45 am – 3:00 pm Maui Coastal Snorkel Sail with lunch on-board

Maui Coastal Snorkel Sail

Enjoy a snorkel sail aboard a state-of-the-art sailing catamaran with Maui’s first family of sailing. Trilogy has earned the status of #1 activity on Maui for their amazing snorkel sail trips, fantastic crew and delicious food. Today we will sail to the best site for snorkeling where will stop to enjoy Maui’s underwater world and lunch.

Notes:
• DeSilva DMC to coordinate with the hotel for towels. It is suggested that participants bring swimsuit, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat and camera.
• This is a “beach load.” No ground transportation is required.

 
Option II: Upcountry Experience Pineapple Tour & Lunch:
10:30 am Depart Westin Maui
11:20 am – 12:40 pm Pineapple Tour at Hali`imaile Pineapple Company
12:45 – 1:45 pm Lunch at Hali`imaile General Store (TBD)
2:00 – 2:45 pm Free Time in Makawao Town
3:30 pm Approximate Arrival at Sheraton/Westin

Pineapple Tour Pineapples Hali`imaile General Store

Guests will enjoy a guided tour of the harvesting of Maui Gold® pineapple fields. Guides use informational and colorful commentary to weave history and trivia into an authentic and memorable pineapple tour. Guests are encouraged to taste the various stages of the Maui Gold pineapple while learning the history and fascinating facts of this sweet fruit. Each guest can pick a pineapple to take home as a sweet souvenir.

Following the tour we will enjoy a light lunch at the famous Hali`imaile General Store before heading up to the quaint country town of Makawao to browse the unique shops, art galleries and café’s before heading back to the hotel with fond memories of Upcountry Maui.

Notes:
• It is suggested that participants bring a light cover-up, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat and camera.
• Wear shoes that you won’t mind getting a bit dirty as some of the tour is out in the fields.

 
Option III: Rainforest Waterfall Hike (easy to moderate hike):
10:30 am Depart Westin Maui
11:45 am – 2:15 pm Rainforest Waterfall Hike w/ Lunch
3:30 pm Approximate Arrival at Sheraton/Westin

Makena Golf Course Makena Golf Course

For this tour we drive to one of the most popular valleys on Maui’s famous Hana Highway—a valley unique for having several waterfalls within a short distance of each other. The hike is 2.5 miles roundtrip through a mix of pasture, rainforest, bamboo and fruit trees and follows two streams to several waterfalls from 10-feet to 40-feet high. Guests are free to swim in large pools underneath any of the waterfalls and swing like Tarzan from a rope into one of the pools. Great guides and a delicious lunch add so much to this fantastic experience.

• It is suggested that participants bring a light cover-up, swimsuit if you plan on swimming, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat and camera.
